Seriously, I have this question and I need honest answers.
Those that know me well, know that I am not really into music. I don't listen to it much at all. Not current music and not old music; I just don't and I really don't know why.
A few blogs got me thinking about this because things have been mentioned like:
Justin Beiber---Had no clue who he was and had to google search him.
The Killers---Have no idea who they are and what songs they sing.
The Beatles on itunes--I could probably only name like two or three of their songs.
This isn't something new either. In high school, my sister had to often correct me on the musicians singing certain songs. I would lose on the first try if someone challenged me to a name the tune or a name the artist game. I only found out who Lady Gaga was a few months ago when my niece was here staying with us. Allen has introduced me to some classic rock, you know like Ozzy Osbourne, Eric Johnson, and Metallica (j/k...well, not really) or is that hard rock? :)
Anyway, I am totally lame for not knowing this stuff? Should I invest some time in music and certain genres and eras of music? Should I be learing this and passing great music onto my children?
Honest answers, people! And if I really am lame...point me in the right direction.
Oh and one more thing---
